Summer just got a whole lot sweeter thanks to ZuZu’s Show Stopper shake ($16). The monthly rotating and awe-inspiring shake was created by Hotel Valley Ho chef Audrey Enriquez—who oversees the landmark hotel’s desserts and pastries for banquets and amenities, and for ZuZu, Hotel Valley Ho’s signature restaurant. Enriquez graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale with a certificate in patisserie and baking, continuing to work at myriad dessert destinations before joining Hotel Valley Ho, where she brings the utmost creativity to her inventive confections at ZuZu—this month’s minty marvel is no exception. 6850 E. For a solid base, Enriquez combines the classic combo of mint ice cream and chocolate chunks, which add chewiness to the dreamy dessert.
In addition to favorite candies, each shake is topped with homemade desserts. The delectable mint shake features indulgent fudge sauce, mint crystals, homemade dark chocolate brownie, homemade dark chocolate bark and handrolled mint chocolate truffles.
Childhood favorites like mint chocolate Klondike, Andes mints and Aero Bubbles mint chocolate candies are among the mountain of toppings.
To top off the towering dessert off, Enriquez ends the shake on a refreshing final note with fresh mint from the chef’s herb garden.
