Sara Peterson of Gorgeous Things
It didn’t take long for Sara Peterson to attract a celebrity following when she launched Gorgeous Things two falls ago. Influenced by traditional Southern gifts, she designed her clothing and accessory line after a lightbulb moment. “I love to give and receive monogrammed gifts, but I couldn’t find them on contemporary materials,” the Paradise Valley native recalls. So the costume and stage designer created bespoke and pret-a-porter embroidery and patchwork jackets, hats and bags, and sold them at Biltmore Plaza Shopping Center’s Mae & Marie. Today she also travels for commissioned custom orders, or clients visit her by appointment only in her at-home she-shack where Champagne, patches and embroidered inspirations flow.
