Winner's Purse

| November 9, 2015 | Parties

THE PARTY Celebrating 10 years of women and the arts, The Women’s Metropolitan Arts Council attracted 130 guests to the Phoenix Art Museum’s Great Hall to savor cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, listen to music and, most importantly, place winning bids at the annual It’s in the Bag auction. THE GUESTS Against a backdrop of colorful canvases, Phoenix Art Museum director Amanda Cruz welcomed the diverse group of professional women members and volunteers from finance, law, marketing and health care, along with event chair Katie Rubin and WoMAC President Eileen Sullivan. Foodies Richard Phillips, Larry Macias and Kelly Cooper offered their culinary expertise. THE HIGHLIGHTS A black leather Gucci bag valued at $1,950 was a standout among the 66 offerings. All auction items were filled with themed objects—theater tickets, gift cards and other goodies. The happiest guest of the night had to be Kirsten Flynn, who returned home with a sparkling pair of diamond earrings donated by House of Diamonds. It was handbag heaven in downtown Phoenix. –Photos by Haute Photography
