You might not be able to throw a football like Tom Brady, but thanks to his forthcoming fashion line, you can at least dress like the seven-time Super Bowl champ.
Brady first announced the namesake line in September after three years of development. He teamed with co-founder Jens Grede (of denim label Frame) and designer Dao-Yi Chow (of Public School) to create an advanced line of sustainable fabrics.
According to images on the Brady brand website, the line seems to be focused around high-style basic athleisure pieces, including hoodies, zip-up turtlenecks and sport shorts.
While Brady isn’t set to launch until Wednesday, Jan. 12, promotions are in full swing, and today, the quarterback announces 10 NCAA players and newly-drafted pros across the athletic spectrum who’ve come aboard as faces of the brand.
“Having these ten athletes represent our first Brady campaign is really special,” Brady says in a press release. “They are hardworking and driven players in the early stages of their careers, and each one of them embodies the spirit and ethos in which our brand was founded.”
Freshman of the Year Shedeur Sanders, son of legendary footballer Deion Sanders, counts himself as part of the pack, as does Cade McNamara of Brady’s University if Michigan alma mater. They’re joined by footballers George Pickens of the University of Georgia, and Grayson McCall of Coastal Carolina University.
Jermaine Samuels
Basketball is represented by Jermaine Samuels of Villanova University, and Julian Reese of University of Maryland. Two tennis players are on board; Andrew Fenty of University of Michigan and Patrick Zahraj of UCLA; while baseballer Henry Davis of the Pittsburgh Pirates and hockey’s Jack St. Ivany of Boston College round out the group.
The Brady brand claims to be the first apparel brand to apply sport-level engineering to its design, offering pro-level performance across disciplines, even if the most athletic thing you’ll do that day is run errands.
It’s Brady’s intention that this class of spokespeople inspire fearlessness, resilience and confidence in Brady-brand customers. Fans who want to learn more and get a first-look at the line are encouraged to sign up at bradybrand.com.
