When we asked The Brokery (thebrokery.com) co-founders what area is booming right now, they both agreed: The entire Valley is booming! “The luxury real estate market continues to be strong in Scottsdale and throughout the Valley,” says Tucker Blalock. “We are seeing continued strong interest from people who are already living in Arizona, and from families who continue to migrate to Arizona from other states.” Currently, the dynamic duo is handling sales for Karma—the latest project by architect developer Jason Boyer—a collection of 11 smart, modern single-family residences located in the coveted Madison Heights neighborhood in North Central Phoenix. “I actually purchased one of the homes for my own family because I was impressed by Jason’s attention to detail and the impeccable quality of his work,” says Oleg Bortman. Here, they share highlights of the development, with homes starting at around $1 million.

What are the perks of living in Madison Heights? TB: This neighborhood is located right in between the thriving Seventh Street corridor and the 16th Street and Bethany intersection, both filled with some of the best dining options in town. The bridle path along Central Avenue, once used for horses, is now ideal for walking and jogging. Uptown is right around the corner, with even more dining and shopping, and the popular Uptown Farmers Market is held on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Madison Heights is also located near some of the best schools in the Valley.
What makes the Karma collection so appealing? TB: Karma is a unique offering in this area, bringing a modern, sustainable design that before now hasn’t been available in the neighborhood.
What is the wow factor of the collection? OB: In addition to their beauty and functionality, these homes are designed and built for those who want to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, something that we don’t see very often in the local market. The compact building footprint is highly insulated, reducing overall energy use and lowering monthly bills. Homes are prewired for solar and can accommodate electric vehicle charging for two cars in every garage. Some of the other impressive features include passive cooling, recycled and rapidly renewable materials, smart home technology monitoring and LED lighting throughout. Plus, this is the first community in the country that includes SPAN electrical panels with all homes, letting homeowners control their home’s power from their phones. Karma is called a ‘smart, modern’ community for a reason!
What area of the home do buyers love most?OB: These homes were designed for seamless flow of indoor-outdoor living, which appeals to those wanting to embrace the Arizona lifestyle and indulge in our frequently gorgeous weather.
What’s up next for The Brokery? A fourth office space in Scottsdale!
