Scottsdale Fashion Week's Metal + Mirrors

| June 28, 2017 | Parties

Renowned designers, coveted collections, a runway ruled by the boldest looks—nights like Scottsdale Fashion Week’s Metal + Mirrors are why the best things happen once the sun’s gone down.

THE PARTY Scottsdale Fashion Week took guests back to the future during the Metal + Mirrors runway show of contemporary and ready-to-wear designers at Livewire. A combination of live music, luxury fashion and classic Scottsdale celebration, it was truly an exhibition of artistry. THE GUESTS Laurel DeWitt showcased chevron, chains and jeweled crowns so captivating, it’s no wonder her work has been worn by stars like BeyoncĂ©, Lady Gaga, Steve Aoki and will.i.am. Internationally acclaimed George Styler delivered ethno-inspired ensembles that wouldn’t be out of place in galaxies far, far away. Arizona native Allie Teilz flaunted her designs and DJ skills by performing while models displayed her latest line of luxury suits. THE HIGHLIGHTS The event kicked off with a heart-pounding saxophone performance, followed by an innovative display of local designer Becki Coakley’s latest shoe line. Models behind a black curtain showed nothing but legs to focus the spotlight squarely on the fabulous footwear confections—an unconventional but incredible start to the soiree. -Aitana Yvette Mallari
