Scottsdale Art’s ARTrageous Gala featured an out-of-this-world Cosmic Crescendo theme this year to coincide with the solar eclipse.
SpaceX launched in the night sky while the projected art of Kenaim Al-Shatti appeared on the side of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts during The ARTrageous Gala.
Guests, including Scottsdale mayor David Ortega, former Diamondbacks pitcher and World Series MVP Randy Johnson—who donated two of his photographs to the live and silent auctions—dressed in attire with celestial touches for the occasion.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed riveting light-based installations and performances from artists like Taylor Dean Harrison and Kenaim Al-Shatti, between cocktails from Astral and Seedlip and food from “Cosmic Culinary” stations prepared by Atlasta.

After dinner, the awards ceremony took place, honoring John and Karen Voris with the Herberger Award for the Arts; Nationwide with the Corporate Trailblazer award; and the late Dorothy Fratt with the Trailblazing Artist award.
The Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra performs.
Best of all, the event raised an impressive $374,000 for Scottsdale Arts.
