Schooled in Fashion

| April 13, 2015 | Parties

The Xavier College Preparatory Mothers’ Guild partnered with Saks Fifth Avenue to host its annual Xavier Scholarship Fashion Show at The Phoenician on Sunday, March 15th.

Xavier parents Susan Doria and April Ward chaired the event, and more than 1300 guests attended. This year's theme was "Tapestry" in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the plaid uniform skirt that Xavier introduced in 1965.

The event began with a social, followed by a luncheon and fashion show. Professional models showcased fashions from Saks Fifth Avenue's Spring 2015 American Collections, and 283 Xavier and Brophy seniors performed eleven runway routines to a spirited music mix. Xavier alumnae Mary Anne Fernandez Herding ’81 and Kristina Nagaran Ulrich ’02 directed and choreographed the student show.

Cathy and Ronn Hart were honored with Xavier's prestigious Founders Award for their tireless support of the school and its mission to educate young women. Mr. and Mrs. Hart's five daughters graduated from Xavier and went on to Brown University, Carnegie-Mellon, Northwestern, Princeton, and University of Arizona. - photos courtsey of Duke Photography
