Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain's Guests can put the Pedal to the Metal in a Ferrari California

| November 11, 2014 | Calendar

Who hasn't pictured him- or herself nestled into a plush leather driver's seat, hands balanced on the steering wheel, cruising in a bright red Ferrari with its retractable hard-top to exalting speeds? Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Arizona is making that particular dream come true.

The resort is now offering rentals of an exotic Ferrari California which retails for about $229,000. It will cost guests of Sanctuary far less for the thrill of navigating this ultra luxe driving machine along Arizona's famous Route 66 or other scenic stretches. The resort's "Seek Adventure" Ferrari rental program gives guests the opportunity to drive the Ferrari for two hours for $299, six hours for $699 and a full-day for $1,400. These rates are exclusive of tax. The opportunity comes with a selection of possible tour routes, from a close-by jaunt around celebrity homes in Paradise Valley to a half-day trip north of Sanctuary to Cave Creek and Bartlett Lake (4 hours, 100 miles). Full-day suggested tours include roundtrips to Sedona (8 hours, 288 miles) and to Flagstaff via Route 66 and returning through Tonto National Forest (8 hours, 375 miles). Two-hour trips have a 100 mile distance limit and six-hour trips have a 200 mile distance limit, with each additional mile costing $2.50. They can be booked between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Full-day trips, available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., are limited to 400 miles, with each additional mile at $2.50.

For the "impossible to shop for," Sanctuary's Ferrari Casita Package is the obvious choice this holiday season. It includes a 20% discount on a two-night stay, a half-day rental of a Ferrari California, and a delicious picnic lunch from elements restaurant for the road. The package starts at $1,383.88 based on double occupancy, including tax and excluding resort fee and gratuity.

Those eligible to rent the Ferrari must be a Sanctuary guest, 25 years or older, with a valid driver's license and major credit card in the same name as the license. They must also have proof of full coverage auto insurance. One additional driver is permitted with the same criteria applying. A security deposit of $1,000 will be required along with the rental fee.

To book the Ferrari Casita Package, guests can call 844.463.4830.
