Nostalgic Night

| March 4, 2016 | Parties

THE PARTY
The event raised nearly $100,000 for the Ryan House, an end-of-life facility in Phoenix serving children from birth to age 17. The funds benefited the organization’s Story of Me Room, where kids can build their own legacies by recording daily experiences and personal messages for loved ones.

THE GUESTS
Debbie Shumway and Susan Levine of Hospice of the Valley; Suzanne Pfister, CEO of St. Luke’s Health Initiatives; and Jan Johnson, the event founder and co-chair were some of the board members representing Ryan House.

THE HIGHLIGHTS
The gala was perfectly timed, as cold temperatures swept the Valley. Attendees, decked in evening gowns, furs and dinner jackets, entered the resort’s Gold Room to a gorgeous display of white ostrich feathers and flowers, while cigarette girls handed out boutonnieres. Guests enjoyed a Phoenix Theater performance of "White Christmas"—penned by Irving Berlin while staying at the Biltmore in 1940—and entertainment by Affinity, followed by an afterparty of cigars and port on the Gold Room Terrace. -Photography by Gina Santi Photography
