Mario Lopez Talks Tacos, Scottsdale Love and Chanel

BY Lauren Swanson-Tyda | April 9, 2018 | Feature Features

Multihyphenate Mario Lopez gets ready to pay a visit to Scottsdale, tequila in hand, for an epic May 5 festival called—you guessed it—Cinco de Mario.

Author, actor, producer, Extra host and Broadway star Mario Lopez can now add the title of tequila impresario to his trail of metiers. Known lovingly to anyone who watched Saved by the Bell as AC Slater, Lopez partnered with Casa Mexico Tequila founder Eric Buccio and champion boxer Oscar De La Hoya in hopes of spreading the spirit (no pun intended) of his Mexican heritage. On May 5, Lopez will host a soiree at Civic Center Plaza in Scottsdale, allowing locals a chance to taste his premium agave potions and indulge their ’90s fandom. Given the date, it’s ironically called Cinco de Mario. Guests can expect an authentic mercado with gourmet Mexican fare, tequila tastings, live entertainment and meet-and-greets with the hunky actor himself. “I’ve visited Scottsdale many times and love it,” he says. “Everyone is so nice and the city is beautiful.” VIP tickets $100 for five drinks and a single plate of food; $250 for a meet-and-greet with Lopez, plus unlimited drinks and catered food

“Functional and convenient for on the go with both [my daughter], Gia, and [my son], Dominic.”

“I’ve loved this fragrance since it came out in the ’90s.”

“The Layrite grooming spray ($12) and matte cream ($18) get my hair on point.”
