Luncheon on the Rhine - A Golden Afternoon with the Arizona Opera

| January 31, 2018 | Calendar

Arizona Opera’s Gala Luncheon will be held on Saturday, March 17, at the Omni Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale. This year’s theme “Luncheon on the Rhine,” is a nod toArizona Opera’s spring production of Das Rheingold.

The 2018 Luncheon Gala will be co-chaired by Shoshana B. Tancer and Jo Kuchai Pulvermacher. In recognition of extraordinary support to Arizona Opera, Joseph Specter, President and General Director, will present Crystal Key Awards to Roma B. Wittcoff of Phoenix; Marlys A. Beider of Tucson; and OPERA America of New York, NY.

Unique to this year’s program is a special guest appearance by Richard Paul Fink, an internationally acclaimed baritone who has performed in such theaters as the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, OpĂ©ra National de Paris, and San Francisco Opera just to name a few. Mr. Fink is especially known for his performance as “Alberich” and will reprise the character in Arizona Opera’s production of Das Rheingold in April.

The gala is preparing to have 300 guests for cocktails on the lawn, followed by a seated luncheon, opera performances and live auction (to include a wine lot, jewelry, dinner & recital, and a supernumerary experience). The 2017 event raised over $120,000 to support Arizona Opera’s mainstage and community activities.

Table sponsorships are available for $10,000 and $5,000; single tickets are available for $150. For information or tickets, please contact Ashley Parks, Director of Development at aparks@azopera.org.
