“Our longtime clients purchased this beautiful home with absolutely killer views in Paradise Valley. The home, while having some timeless materials, lacked the dimension we come to expect from a Mediterranean,” shares Kristen Forgione, creator and principal designer of Gilbert-based THELIFESTYLEDCO (thelifestyledco.com). “We were able to completely transform each space, breathing new life into the entire home, and we were able to showcase our original signature aesthetic called Organic Desert Living.” While Forgione maintained the integrity of the original kitchen, she improved both its aesthetics and functionality by utilizing a handmade zellige backsplash by Clé Tile, plumbing from Kingston Brass’ Heritage Collection and beautiful Calacatta Laza quartz countertops from MSI. An oversize island and four lantern pendants from Ballard Designs brought in an added indoor-outdoor influence to the European-infused space. “All of these design elements allowed for extra seating, more cooking space and storage—three things that were very important to our clients as they have a growing family and love to entertain.”
