Keep Calm and Dream Big

| May 6, 2014 | Calendar

On Thursday, May 8, from 6 - 8 p.m., Platform Scottsdale, an organization dedicated to giving women a platform to meet, mentor and connect, will be celebrating their 2nd anniversary with their “Keep Calm and Dream Big” event at Hotel Indigo in Old Town Scottsdale. This free-to-attend event will feature the signature Platform-tini, passed hors d’oeuvres, raffles, photos on the pink carpet and an empowering presentation by Dena Patton of Girls Rule, a local organization inspiring girls to be confident, make healthy choices and dream big. Attendees are encouraged to bring a special girl along with them (be it a neighbor, sister, best friend, mentee or daughter) that is 12 years or older for a night of fun and learning the basic principles of building self-esteem and self-confidence.

Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each or 5 for $20 and include prizes from a variety of local businesses, including a hotel stay, restaurant gift certificates and a suite at US Airways Center. A portion of the evening’s proceeds from the raffles, in addition to magazine donations collected that evening, will benefit Girls Rule.

With an emphasis on empowering and connecting like-minded Valley women - be it stay-at-home moms, women in business or the single lady on the go - each event focuses on being a casual, fun atmosphere with the added bonus of giving back to charities that help other women and families throughout the Valley.

There is no cost to attend “Keep Calm, Dream Big,” however RSVPs are required by May 2 and guests are encouraged to bring old magazines for Girls Rule to use for vision boards.
