For Ivy Ciolli, inner beauty is tantamount to outer beauty. The Paradise Valley native—who co-founded Grimaldi’s Pizzeria with her husband, Joey—supports local nonprofits, including Healing Hearts Animal Rescue and Refuge, which she established in 2005. And, this month, she is serving as the second-time chair for the Childhelp Drive the Dream Gala (Feb. 15, 5:30PM, The Phoenician, 6000 E. Camelback Road, Scottsdale). “I got involved with Childhelp more than seven years ago when my husband attended the gala,” she says. “After hearing the speakers and understanding the full breadth of what they do, I just knew I had to be a part of it.” This year, the gala’s theme is Mary Poppins, which Ciolli says aligns with Childhelp’s goal of creating a safe, happy refuge for abused and neglected children. “[Poppins] stands for love, caring and family security,” Ciolli says, “and that’s what we want our children to feel when they walk through our doors.” Here, we asked her to share her go-tos for looking her best during gala season.
THE IMAGE “Whitney DiNota of Whitney B Photography has a talent for helping her clients tell their stories through photographs,” Ciolli says. “She’s photographed my family many times, and I love how she gets to the heart of [who we are].”
THE GLOSS Inside Ciolli’s makeup bag, you’ll find Kjaer Weis lip gloss ($38, Citrine Natural Beauty Bar). “It’s organic and not filled with chemicals, so I can use this product knowing it’s natural.”
THE SUPPLEMENT One of Ciolli’s favorite things to add to her morning smoothie is Pine Pollen by Sun Potion ($52). “It’s good food for your brain, longevity, immune system and [provides] hormone support,” she says.
THE SKIN Ciolli’s favorite place to shop for makeup and skincare is Citrine Natural Beauty Bar (2502 E. Camelback Road, Ste. 148K, Phoenix) at Biltmore Fashion Park. “They have all-natural beauty products that are good for you and the environment.”
THE ELIXIR Ciolli begins each day with a smoothie—almond milk, banana, cacao nibs, peppermint and kale by Juice Core ($10, 7137 E. Stetson Drive, Ste. 10, Scottsdale).
