Proper Irish Coffee by Catch Steak in NYC
Coffee is more than a treat. It’s a necessity, but it can be a real treat if you add a little Irish whiskey in the mix.
Next time you’re on vacation or just having that kind of day, grab a bottle of Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey and try one of these caffeinated cocktails, courtesy of the beverage brand headed by none other than MMA star Conor McGregor.

Some of these recipes are traditional, and some are quite creative concoctions from famous bartenders across the country. No matter what flavor your savor, these drinks will definitely give you something to cheers about.
Ingredients:
Directions: Pour Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey and coffee liqueur and into a shot glass and drop into a pint glass of Irish Stout.

Directions: Shake and strain into a Nick and Nora glass. Garnish with hand-whipped cream and coffee beans.
Ingredients:
Directions: Fill glass with ice. Add Proper No. Twelve and cold coffee. Add creamer and sweetener to taste. Stir to combine.

Directions: Build in a snifter, stir all the ingredients, then top with whipped cream, and garnish with grated nutmeg and a pocky stick
Gavin McMonigle serves this delicious and dastardly drink at Philadelphia’s Piss & Vinegar.
Ingredients:
Directions: Hard shake all ingredients in a tin with crushed ice. Strain into a 6 oz. Irish coffee glass and serve.
Another creative cocktail, this one from Jesse Peterson of Morning Glory and Chris Patino of Simple Serve in San Diego.
Ingredients:
Directions: Combine ingredients in a blender. Add ice and blend. Pour into glass and a garnish with instant coffee granules (optional). Thrown together and blended until it’s smooth. Garnished with coffee grounds and a smile as you sip.
