Interior Designer Holly Wright takes inspiration from her Arizona surroundings.
Holly Wright, CEO and principal designer of Holly Wright Design (hollywrightdesign.com), has always had an eye for transformation. “When I was young, I used to constantly change my room,” she recalls. “I would rearrange the furniture, almost monthly, and develop new schemes and styles. I loved the way it made me feel each time I renovated it.”
Now, as a successful interior designer, she still channels that passion into each new project. Describing her design approach as “cohesive, minimalist and unexpected,” Wright draws inspiration from her Arizona surroundings. “We are lucky [to live] in a very diverse area that can give us a wide range of inspiration,” she says. “We can use so many different types of natural stones and textures that reflect the elements around us in the materials, but also the colors,” she says, noting that she often incorporates rich amber tones, slate greys and lush greens to create harmony between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Currently, Wright is staying busy, working on custom homes, multi-family developments and out-of-state residences. “I get to develop different ideas and concepts for each project, work with different architects and builders and work in different cities,” she says. “It makes each day a challenge and gives me room for growth all the time.” Here, Wright reveals the chic pieces that define her standout style.
