Bitter & Twisted's latest book proves a cocktail is just as effective as a bedtime story.
Taste the Rainbow, Bitter & Twisted's new colorful concoction of house-infused kafir lime gin; sloe gin; and fresh fruit ($12).

YOU'RE NEVER TOO old for fairy tales. Never, never. Bitter & Twisted invites patrons to create their own boozy adventure with its fourth annual Book o’ Cocktails. Designed by New York illustrator Matt Andrews, the tome shatters perceptions of a traditional menu, turning it into a storybook that is meant to amuse and delight as much as the libations within. Sip on concoctions like the glitter-rimmed Just Right ($12), a blend of Calvados, Cocchi Americano, fresh citrus, grapefruit cinnamon syrup and sparkling prosecco. Or try one of four Fabulous Flying Negronis (from $12), blended with teas and flower essences. Principal barman and proprietor Ross Simon is no stranger to weaving make-believe into mixology. Past themes have included everything from sci-fi space fantasies to vintage video games. The book is fraught with cheeky references to beloved bedtime stories. The cover itself is a drunken Last Supper-inspired scene starring your favorite childhood characters—and let’s just say Humpty Dumpty could use an Uber. Cocktails and fairy tales? Now that’s a recipe for “happily ever after.” 1 W. Jefferson St., Phoenix, 602.340.1924
