Guests traveled back in time to the center of Pompeii for a night of charity and celebration at the annual Galaxy Gala.
THE PARTY Saturated in scarlet and gold, Arizona Science Center hosted the Galaxy Gala MMXVIII: A Night in Pompeii and perfectly captured the Roman city with hundreds of artifacts on display. Arrivals walked the red carpet back in time and were greeted with the opportunity to take a photo with two live statues. THE GUESTS Chair Tracey Lytle wore a stunning gold dress to celebrate the evening with her husband, co-chair Larry Lytle. Vice-chairs Susie and McKenna Wesley were also in attendance. THE HIGHLIGHTS Guests sipped Champagne and mingled before being treated to a complimentary walk through the Pompeii exhibit, including a sensory 4-D experience of the earthquake and eruption before viewing the final exhibit of victims’ body casts. Dinner was catered by M Culinary and inspired by what Pompeii villagers would have eaten in 79 A.D. Guests were also offered a stunning view of the Pompeii night sky in the observatory. -Dominique Ziegler
