Former Frank Lloyd Wright apprentice Vern Swaback discusses Wright’s relevance in today’s world, sharing firsthand experiences of working with the legendary architect.
Serving as an apprentice, resident, and practitioner from 1957-1978 at Taliesin West, Vern Swaback has experienced firsthand Wright’s groundbreaking and innovative ideas. As the founder and managing partner of Swaback Partners, he continues to inspire with innovative and award winning architectural designs.
On Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, Swaback will return to Taliesin West, Wright’s winter home and desert laboratory, to discuss the experiences that led him to believe Wright will be more relevant and famous in the future than he was even in his own time.
Attendees will have time for a Q&A with Swaback after his discussion. He will also be discussing his new book “Designing for the Life of Community at a Time of Great Change,” which attendees will receive and have a chance to get signed, following the talk. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and learn from one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s apprentices at the historic Taliesin West.
