Food & Wine Discover Rioja Weekend

Omni Hotels & Resorts and Time Inc.’s (NYSE: TIME) FOOD & WINE will team up for their first-ever culinary experience, FOOD & WINE Discover Rioja Weekend at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia this Fall. The exclusive experience is part of Omni Hotels & Resorts’ larger “Flavors of the World” signature culinary series that returns in October.

From September 8 – 10, 2017, package holders will celebrate Spain’s famed wine region with events that include wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, a tapas crawl and a five-course, wine-paired dinner. 2015 FOOD & WINE Best New Chef Katie Button, owner of Cúrate Tapas Bar and Nightbell restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina, and FOOD & WINE's Executive Wine Editor, Ray Isle, will host the weekend events.

FOOD & WINE Discover Rioja Weekend package includes:
-Accommodations for two guests for two (2) nights

-Cooking demonstrations and tapas tasting with Celebrity Chef Katie Button, owner of Cúrate Tapas Bar and Nightbell restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina and -2015 FOOD & WINE Best New Chef
-Tapas crawl with artisan pop-ups
-Wine-paired lunch and wine seminar by FOOD & WINE Executive Wine Editor Ray Isle
-Five-course, wine-paired dinner hosted by Chef Katie Button and Ray Isle
-Rosé brunch in the Camelback presidential suite

The full weekend package for two guests costs $1,990 and is currently available for booking.

The weekend’s backdrop is the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, a luxury resort nestled near the base of Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, Ariz. that is inspired by the sun-drenched villages of southern Spain – from romantic architecture and cobblestone walkways to lush foliage and fountains and a signature restaurant dedicated to authentic Spanish tapas and cuisine.

The package further brings to life this year’s “Flavors of the World” installment, called “Discover Rioja.” The signature culinary series – which returns for its tenth year on Oct. 1, 2017 and runs through Dec. 31, 2017 at participating properties nationwide – will celebrate the region’s food, wine and culture. Each year, “Flavors of The World” strives to educate guests about new epicurean discoveries and experiences in emerging epicurean destinations around the globe. “Discover Rioja,” in partnership with Wines from Rioja, will have a robust line-up of guest dining experiences, hotel programming and hotel packages – all of which will spotlight the Rioja region of Spain.
