If local designer Emanuelle Adkins of LiaMo could pick anyone in the world to wear her first line of bold capes, jackets and trenches, it would simply have to be Amal Clooney. That’s because LiaMo is designed for such women of the world: global, savvy and who embody elegance. “Elegance is universal,” Adkins says. “It transcends borders.” The pieces, which are made with buttery-soft Italian leather, are available in colors like metallic sea-foam green, taupe and baby pink. It’s the perfect change of pace for all-black ensembles, although there are classic black versions of her line. Every piece from LiaMo—named after Adkins’ children, Liam and Montgomery—is labeled with the phrase “You Are Loved,” and a percentage of all profits is donated to charities benefiting women and children.
