The seventh annual Driving Out Domestic Violence celebrity gala made its way to Scottsdale Hangar One this past November.
THE PARTY After a day on the links for the preceding golf tournament, Driving Out Domestic Violence guests donned their best cocktail attire for a night of fun and festivity at Hangar One. THE SCENE While rubbing elbows with celebrity athletes and enjoying live entertainment, partygoers savored craft cocktails, dinner and dessert by local restaurants. The night also included a silent auction to raise funds for Chrysalis’ programs, which provide support for those impacted by domestic abuse and seek solutions to prevent abuse. Mark Teahan, a retired professional baseball player, and his wife, Lauren—who together founded Driving Out Domestic Violence in honor of Lauren’s late mother—were joined by former professional baseball player J.J. Putz and his wife, Kelsey, as hosts of the event. THE HIGHLIGHTS A bevy of athletes descended on Hanger One, including the Nate Jones of the White Sox, Brewers second baseman Eric Sogard, Twins player Hector Santiago, Pirates player Daniel Hudson, Cubs pitcher Trevor Cahill, the NHL’s Mike Modano and Adam Snyder of the NFL.
