Decantur—The Winery at DC Ranch to Celebrate Ribbon Cutting

Decantur—The Winery at DC Ranch will celebrate its ribbon cutting on Wednesday, February 17 at DC Ranch Crossing just seconds off the N. Pima Road exit of the 101 Loop. The ceremony--which will have a unique twist-- will kick off at 5 p.m. and everyone 21+ is invited to attend. Following the ribbon cutting formalities and photo opportunities, guests will be invited into the winery to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and a sampling of light, but mouthwatering bites served up from the winery's kitchen lead by Chef Billy Sims of Nine Degrees North Catering. There will also be live music by local artist, Joerdie. The winery will also host a grand opening party in March 2016, which will benefit local charity Horses Help. Details will be released soon.

In the winery's airy and comfortably stylish main tasting room, guests will be invited to pour, breathe, savor, and learn about the wide variety of high-quality wines crafted on site with grapes sourced from around the world. Guest will enjoy pairing the wines with the culinary delights served up from the winery’s kitchen. An experience not to be missed, Decantur will also give guests the opportunity to make, bottle, and custom label their very own wine in the winery’s state-of-the-art fermentation and bottling rooms, located just off the main tasting room.

The winery will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with live music every weekend. There are plans to host a variety of events series such as paint nights, team trivia nights, a delectable Mimosa Brunch on Sunday mornings, and much more.

At Decantur, owners Bill and Debra McDermott offer a Wine Club that, at every membership level, features two bottles each month and complimentary tastings daily for each member and a guest. Membership levels are structured to accommodate every palate and every budget. A number of other benefits come with various levels of membership, such as VIP access to special events and discounts on custom bottling and day-to-day purchases. For the wine aficionado, Decantur will offer a Premier membership level with private tastings including tasting straight out of the barrel with savvy, energetic Decantur Cellar Master Collin Mitzenmacher, who comes to Decantur from Southern Calif. with years of wine crafting experience.
