The festival will be on Saturday, April 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and admission is free. It includes an Artisan's Hall with local artisan desserts for purchase and a Tasting Hall with local specialty beers, wines and ciders. There will also be a Cultivate Mexican Lager that is brewed exclusively for Cultivate through a collaboration with Arizona Wilderness Brewing, Boulevard Brewing (KC), and Cigar City Brewing (FL).
The band lineup is Young the Giant, Echosmith, Lukas Graham, Betty Who, Holychild, and Jared & The Mill. Chefs doing demonstrations will be Aaron Sanchez (Chef/Partner at Johnny Sanchez, Co-Star of Food Network's Chopped and host of Cooking Channel's Taco Trip); Amanda Freitag (Chef, Co-Star of Food Network's Chopped and host of American Diner Revival); Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco-Phoenix & Tucson, Pane Bianco-Phoenix); Stephen Jones (the larder + the delta); and Charleen Badman (FnB Restaurant) with Pavle Milic (FnB Restaurant, Los Milics Wine).
In addition to live music and onsite chef demonstrations, each Cultivate event will include five interactive experiences focused on sustainable food – including activities that allow attendees to explore the importance of animal welfare, issues surrounding genetically modified ingredients (GMOs), the secret to making Chipotle’s famous guacamole, and the reality of processed foods – as well as a Kids’ Zone that will feature activities and snacks.
