Principal designer Lauren Lerner of Cave Creek’s Living With Lolo (livingwithlolo.com) thrives on bringing a client’s home to life from the very beginning. “I like to find out about our clients personally and how they live day to day,” she says. “My ideal client is the one who trusts me to take this intel, work outside of the box and challenge them to create a space that they’ll love.” This passion has allowed her to brighten up homes in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley and Phoenix. Here, we ask Lerner to share some of her good vibes with us.

What’s your personal aesthetic? Eclectic and modern with a timeless, colorful vibe.
What keeps you inspired? Our clients. Learning about their lives and the lives they want to live, then helping them create spaces that will help these dreams come to fruition, is an integral part of our creative process.
What’s on everyone’s must-have list? Because our clients are spending so much more time at home these days, whatever we can do to make their spaces feel a little more elevated is key. Taking inspiration from activities they normally do outside of the home—like going to the spa or the gym— and implementing those features into their design is really important nowadays. Think relaxing yoga and meditation spaces, or even adding saunas.
Are wellness features trending right now? Yes, creating home gyms and making a space feel more spalike is top of the list. Also in demand are dedicated home offices to get work done away from family members, and kitchens. People are wanting to make what they have better because they’re spending more time at home, so added luxury kitchen features are more appealing than ever.
Where do you spend most of your time at home? I love spending time in my backyard to take advantage of the beautiful Arizona weather. My son and I, along with our two dogs, sit by the fire pit or under the patio on our comfortable sofa and enjoy time together.
