Black & White

Beginning with a cocktail reception in the lobby of the Grand Ballroom at the Arizona Biltmore, 375 guests attended a special evening that included a wonderful dinner and dancing. Truly a night to remember, the event raised over $4 million—an incredible amount, especially considering the evening was shared with the Cardinals playoff game.

Loyal supporters of Barrow Neurological Institute were in full force, including: Gov. Doug and Angela Ducey, Melani and Rob Walton, Carole and Arte Moreno, Pat and Earl Petznick, Dionne and Francis Najafi, Nancy and Dr. Robert Spetzler, Dr. Rachel and Mr. Greg Sirianni, and Linda and Bill Hunt.

Event co-chairs Amy Thurston and Sandy Hecomovich, along with their committees, did a spectacular job planning a memorable evening. During the cocktail hour, electric string quartet Urban Electra played while the guests mingled. Later, tuxedoed gents and ladies in black-and-white gowns entered the Gold Room in grand style. It was reminiscent of a grand ball during the Gilded Age in New York City. We’re in good hands with the Women’s Board! -Photography by Chris Loomis
