Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships

| February 28, 2019 | Parties

The Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships were bigger and better in its eighth year, setting record-breaking numbers.

THE PARTY A crowd of more than 11,000 people flooded the fields for the event of the season which reached record ticket sales among other highlights. THE SCENE Beyond the field, a colorful showcase of cultural and daredevil performances like The Phoenix Symphony’s tribute to Mozart, Monica Nia Jones’ violin rendition of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” and a performance of the National Anthem as Red Bull skydivers delivered the American flag to the field. THE HIGHLIGHTS Famed polo player (and Ralph Lauren eye candy) Nacho Figueras made his Bentley Polo debut as part of the Barrett-Jackson Aspen Valley Polo Team in a match against Wales Polo Team. Aspen took the event’s signature Molina Cup for the fourth consecutive year. And, ending the weekend on a high note, the ladies of the France Luxe team captured a win, 8 to 1, in the Battle of the Sexes, crushing the Sanderson Lincoln’s men’s team. -Lauren Loudermilk
