The Arizona Opera held its gala luncheon at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia.
THE PARTY Upward of 250 galagoers descended on the Omni’s orange-dappled ballroom, raising an outstanding $220,000-plus for The Company. Guests bid in a live auction and were treated to gorgeous performances throughout an afternoon of music and charity. THE GUESTS Shoshana B. Tancer and Jo Kuchai Pulvermacher acted as co-chairs for this year’s event, welcoming the exquisitely dressed crowd with Champagne and chitchat. Later in the program, President and General Director Joseph Specter presented Crystal Key Awards to Roma B. Wittcoff of Phoenix, Marlys A. Beider of Tucson and OPERA America of New York City to recognize their support of Arizona Opera. THE HIGHLIGHTS Internationally acclaimed baritone Richard Paul Fink gave a rousing special performance, along with beautiful numbers by the Marion Roose Pullin Studio Artists. -Lauren Loudermilk
