Hot Wheels meet hot kicks in a new collaboration that will see sneaker heads and fashion fanatics drooling.
Adidas Originals just announced its forthcoming collaboration with Hot Wheels, the classic Mattel toy that makes race car drivers out of every healthy imagination.
Not only that, the two brands teamed with L.A.-based designer Sean Wotherspoon, no stranger to the Adidas Originals line, to craft colorful sneakers, jackets, shorts, tote bags and other accessories.
The unisex line is inspired by the fast-paced fun of the Hot Wheels universe. Racing stripes in Adidas’ signature style meet bright colors, so you can live out your brightest plastic fantasies.
Hop into the driver’s seat in a race jacket, look your best in a long-sleeve mesh t-shirt, cool down in a cotton tee, hit the road in your trail shorts, and make a statement in the official bucket hat—all of which are adorned with the fiery, well-known Hot Wheels logo.
It all comes to life in electric hues, from dark blue to aquamarine, bright yellow, pink, red and more.
For your feet, Wotherspoon offers an update on the Superturf Adventures shoe equipped with detachable patches. When it’s time to hang loose, there’s a take on the Adilette, which you might recognize as Adidas’ classic slider.
While wearing this collection won’t actually turn your car into a life-size racer or give you permission to shoot sparks from your rear tires, it will definitely give you a feeling of freedom and childhood dreams come true.
Those who wish to nab the neat looks can do so now, exclusively on the Adidas Confirmed app and in Wotherspoon’s Round 2 stores, with locations in California, New York, Chicago and Miami.
Shoppers can sign up for access to the footwear as soon as today, and styles will be available to shop via adidas.com and select retailers on Thursday, Aug. 25. Learn more via adidas.com.
