Newly minted Teal Tie Society hosted the foundation’s fall fundraiser, Luau for the Dream.
THE PARTY The crowd at Hotel Valley Ho gave a hearty aloha to first-time hosts the Teal Tie Society, a club made up of longtime male supporters of Colleen’s Dream Foundation. All involved were excited to welcome the recently formed group to the charity scene. Colleen’s Dream co-founders Nicole and Billy Cundiff say the all-male society provides a unique platform for men to support an inherently female cause. THE SCENE Hawaiian-print-adorned guests donned leis and enjoyed the tableau of fire and hula dancers surrounding the hotel’s patio. The crowd mingled with tiki drinks to toast the Polynesian atmosphere that culminated in a sumptuous pig roast. THE HIGHLIGHTS A round of applause is due for the gents who, on their first event, pulled in $16,000 for Colleen’s Dream Foundation’s cutting-edge ovarian cancer research. Mahalo! -Lauren Loudermilk
