The Valley's luxury housing market is sizzling with 2018 on track to set a record for home sales over $2 million. According to Zillow, median home prices across the Valley are up more than 9 percent in the last year and anticipated to gain another 3.5 percent in the next 12 months. With the market on fire, these are the top five luxury neighborhoods.
Downtown Phoenix

1. Uptown
The hottest area in town is luring luxury buyers with its central location and influx of trendy restaurants, bars and shops. The North Central area is the most upscale sector, boasting mansions; large older ranch homes; and the new One 30, a small enclave of million-dollar homes.

2. Downtown Phoenix
In the last several years, downtown has transformed from a dead zone to a hip zone, for both millennials and empty nesters seeking urban luxury. For buyers looking for a low-maintenance home, million-dollar-plus condo developments like Portland on the Park and Chateau on Central offer sophisticated living close to all the cultural, culinary and entertainment options downtown.

3. Pinnacle Peak
According to Lisa Lucky with Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, the dramatic backdrop of Pinnacle Peak makes the luxury communities of Estancia, Troon, Troon North and Desert Highlands the most visually breathtaking neighborhoods in the Valley. Couple the view with an abundance of recreational activities, high-end community clubhouses, and nearby shopping and dining, and this North Scottsdale area attracts worldwide buyers.
